Come discover Quartier Greene, the iconic commercial and residential neighbourhood in the southeast corner of the City of Westmount. Quartier Greene’s commerce is centred along Greene Avenue, south of Sherbrooke West and along Ste Catherine West. Bordered by lovely residential streets, featuring well-preserved historic row houses and town houses with beautiful architectural detailing – well worth a stroll! Westmount Square’s iconic three black towers of steel and glass – designed by the celebrated modernist architect Mies van der Rohe, dominates the skyline south of De Maisonneuve and Greene.
This commercial area features a variety of businesses including restaurants, coffee shops, grocers, bakery, jewelry boutiques, shoes, housewares and unique women’s clothing stores, many of which are independent. There are five art galleries of renown to visit.
Enjoy take away in nearby Queen Elizabeth Gardens Park (Wood & Sherbrooke) which offers a fenced in playground for children and shady areas for picnics… or in Square Greene, a public square with tables, chairs and umbrellas located at Greene and De Maisonneuve.
